Dr. Kat is a native of Chicago, IL, and is currently a scientist and anatomy professor. She has an Associate of Science, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science Degrees in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate in Education for Health Professions. In addition to her biological science background, Dr. Kat has over 15 years of experience in radio broadcasting, marketing, and production. 

 

Dr. Kat has had the opportunity to express her unique radio announcing and DJ flavor at KWWJ-Gospel 1360am in Houston, Texas, WYCA Rejoice 102.3 Hammond, Indiana, KABF 88.3FM The Voice of The People Little Rock, Arkansas, and KUAP 88.3FM Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is the recipient of the 2004-2005 Houston Gospel Announcers Guild - Horizon Award and the 2021 NAACP Community Service Award in Southern Illinois. Dr. Kat has also served as the Mistress of Ceremony, moderator, and talent judge for several events.

Dr. Kat has written and produced several theatrical productions and she also produces and hosts her own Inspirational Jazz concerts. To her credit, "The Inspirational Jazz GALA  2004" and KatJam #1: "The Inspiration Celebration GALA March 2021." Stay tuned there is more to come.

Dr. Kat enjoys traveling, cruising, theatrical productions, and spending time relaxing with her family.
